How password protection works

If the uploader enabled a password, recipients must provide it to download the file.

What recipients will see

If the file is protected and no password is provided, the download is blocked with:

• "password required"

If the password is wrong:

• "invalid password"

Tips for smooth sharing

• Send the download link and the password via separate channels (e.g., link in email, password in chat).
• Use a password manager or a secure note for team sharing.
• If recipients keep getting "invalid password", verify there are no leading/trailing spaces.
